Regular meetings have not yet begun for the 2021-2022 season. Meetings are usually held at 6:00 PM on the third Wednesday of each month from October to April. We are adjusting as needed in light of COVID-19, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm meeting times if you would like to attend.

Ski Season Kickoff
For several years we have hosted a Ski Season Kickoff event in late November/early December. Come meet your fellow skiers and hear about what PPNC has planned for the year! Stay tuned for the next iteration of this fun event.
Willow Park Chili Fest
Our newly formed partner club to the west, Tensleep Nowood Trailbreakers (TNT), will be taking over maintenance of Willow Park in the coming years, and will also be taking over the annual Chili Fest at Willow Park as a fundraiser for their group. They have modified the event a bit, and it will take place as part of the Sweet 16 Snowfest, on the Full Moon afternoon/evening of Friday, January 29, 2021, 3 PM to 7 PM. For more information check out the TNT Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/TNTWyo
Classic Ski Clinic
NEW for 2021! We are offering a Classic Ski Clinic taught by USSA certified coaches. The clinic will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Pole Creek at 10 AM. Whether you've been skiing for years, or are just starting out, come hone your technique! This clinic is free, but you must provide your own equipment- be sure to get classic skiing gear. Rentals are available at the Sports Lure in Buffalo. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend! We are trying to have an idea on how many folks to expect.
Skate Ski Clinic
Join us Saturday, February 20, 2021 for our fourth Skate Ski Clinic featuring USSA certified coaches at the Buffalo Golf Course at 10 AM. There is enough snow this year so we should be good to go. The clinic is free, but you must bring your own equipment- be sure to get skate skiing gear if possible! Sports Lure in Buffalo may have a few available. Please email us at email@example.com if you plan to attend!
Pole Creek Challenge
PPNC's signature event, the Pole Creek Challenge is our annual 5K and 10K recreational race and fundraiser.
The 2021 Pole Creek Challenge will be a DIY, Virtual event! Sign up online at 2021 Virtual Pole Creek Challenge, or you can register with a paper form available here or at the Johnson County Family YMCA in Buffalo. Then ski your 5K or 10K race, in classic or skate style at any location of your choosing! Track yourself using a GPS or smartphone app such as Map My Run, Garmin, Strava, etc. After you've completed your race, submit your time and distance to be entered for great door prizes!
If speed isn't your thing, you can compete in our new Total Distance Challenge: Ski or Snowshoe the greatest total distance between February 1-28 and win a special award!
You can see past years' results below if you're looking for a time to beat.
All participants will receive a thank you gift, to be mailed or picked up in Buffalo, and all those who submit a time or distance challenge entry will be entered for door prizes.
We are disappointed that we won't be able to hold our usual in-person festivities, but we hope you will join us to compete on your own and support PPNC's annual fundraiser. This is a learning experience for all of us, so if you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
